Iván Tovar Exhibition (Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic)

BGL, part of Secuoya Group, was commissioned by Fundación Iván Tovar to deliver the installation and development of this immersive exhibition on the artist, who was born in 1942 in San Francisco de Macorís (Dominican Republic) and was renowned for his bold surrealist themes.

In collaboration with Romera Infografía y Diseño, spaces filled with audiovisual content were developed across 550 square metres of projections and sound. More than 200 images — including works, letters and photographs — were selected to create the projections and visual material. These were integrated by a team specialising in immersive projection and audio content, enabling visitors to journey through the artist’s life.

With more than 20K horizontal resolution and 30 Panasonic 7,000-lumen laser projectors covering the walls and floor, the project reinterprets the artist’s work to create a world-class immersive exhibition.
