Located at the heart of the almost 500-acre Expo site, the UAE Pavilion provides 8,000 square metres of exhibition space in which visitors are immersed in a rich, multisensory experience. Symbolising the UAE’s pioneering and innovative spirit, the protective form of its steel roof—shaped by the grace, movement and strength of the falcon—combines advanced contemporary kinetic capabilities with a series of innovative architectural elements.
Inspired by the UAE’s remarkable landscapes and natural environment, the Pavilion’s architecture is itself a unique technical and creative achievement. With 28 individually moving wings, the roof can open and unfold like a falcon in flight, harvesting renewable energy through photovoltaic panels integrated directly into its structure.
