The complete refurbishment of the Emirates Room, formerly Room XVII, at the Palais des Nations in Geneva was conceived by architects Siavosh Adeli & Joakim de Rharn around the symbolism of three essential elements in everyday Emirati life: the sky, the desert and traditional white clothing.
Italian company CCM, a specialist in interior furniture for airports and large public spaces, acted as the main contractor for the room’s comprehensive refurbishment.
CCM commissioned BGL to supply, install and integrate the audiovisual solution that recreates the Emirati sky across six different times of day on the room’s ceiling.
BGL used robust, latest-generation audiovisual and control technology to ensure continuous system operation in a room that hosts events of international significance.
