This institution that represents the people of Extremadura was born in 1983, at the same time that Extremadura emerged as autonomy. The legislative headquarters is located in the headquarters of the old Hospital of Juan de Dios, with the corresponding renovations but respecting its original architecture.

In order to continue respecting its origins, BGL has designed and implanted the latest generation of audio and video with high definition technologies that are better visible to humans. This work has contributed to the daily work of the politicians and workers that make up the Assembly of Extremdura every day.
